Proof of Concept For A Global Coffee Project

The coffee industry has exploded in the last few year, with coffee shops and roasters popping up all over the place. Coffee shops are focusing more on being unique, having a comfortable location, quality branding, and unique coffee package design. With this new diversity, there is a higher focus on the quality of the coffee. Roasters, baristas, and coffee drinkers are all paying attention to the location of origin for their beans. This project grew out of this expansion of the coffee world. So, our client wanted to bring the next level of specialty coffee to drinkers all around the world. Salt Foundry was brought in on this project to provide proof of concept for the coffee package design. For this project, Creating a simple coffee brand that could be easily utilized in marketing materials was our main goal. However, we also wanted a brand that would reflect the quality and depth of the coffee industry as a whole. To accomplish this, our client requested we focus on southeast Asia and incorporate a cultural element into the design. We created a brand that utilized an elephant loosely styled like latte art, which would resonate with the coffee industry and average viewers. From this point, we were able to apply the brand to some coffee package design.
